Registration and login are required to submit items online and to check the status of current submissions.


Author Guidelines



1. Journal of Turkish Applied Sciences and Engineering (JTASE) publishes collection of original research studies in the field of science, engineering and natural sciences in English. These articles must not have been printed anywhere before, except for oral presentations and poster papers and broadcasting rights must be granted.

2. The article which has been submitted for publication is subjected to preliminary investigation in accordance with the principles of publication by the Editorial Board. 

Editorial Board has the right to send the articles as non- refundable before sending them to referees if they decide they do not correspond with the nature of publication.

In addition, the articles that do not comply with the rules of spelling will be returned to the author for correction.

3. The articles are sent at least two referees for review.

After referee evaluation, the corrected articles must be sent no later than 30 days by the author for either acceptance or rejection.

4. On behalf of the all authors in the articles, corresponding author must sign "Copyright Transfer Form" to confirm that they give the rights of manuscript to be broadcast in Journal of Turkish Applied Sciences and Engineering (JTASE).

5. Papers should be sent in A4 format, 3 cm margins to remain on the edges, 1.5 spaced, Times New Roman font, 12 point font size, MS Word document format by the author only responsible for the article (responsible for all correspondence  from the beginning of the publication to  after printing )

6. The first letters of the title of the article must be written in capital letters and the rest in small letters, bold and15 punts centred.

7. Name and surname of the authors of the article should be centred under the title clearly, without abbreviations in12 punts.

  A number must be used as superscript after each author’s name to specify the address of the related author.

8. Address of each author (University / Institution, Faculty, Department, Postal code, City, Country) must be written in italics and centred in 10 pt.

 In addition, the author in contact must specify his own e-mail address just under the mailing address by using the star icon.

The e-mail addresses of the other authors should be written after"References" section. 

(E-mail addresses of all authors should be specified).

9.  Abstract of the article and key words must be written just below the address information.

Abstract must not exceed more than 150 words in total; 5 words must be written as key words, and each keyword must be separated from the other with a comma and must be 10 punts.


For instance;

Summary: …….. (Using maximum 150 words in the decided punt)……..

Keywords: Variational iteration method, Helmholtz equation, FKdV equation, nonlinear partly differential equations.


10. Delivered article must include the basic parts such as “Introduction", "Materials and Methods", “Results and Discussion", "References". Each page of the article must be numbered.  All titles and sub-titles of subject titles, if there are, must be numbered. The first letters of the title must be written in capitals and the rest in small letters, left-justified manner and in 12 punts. It must be cared that titles must be bold and normal; sub-titles must be italic. Paragraph must not be included in the text. If the article includes equation or equation groups, they must be centred. In the case of numbering of equations, the equation numbers must be written in right-justified manner and in front of the equation.

11. Tables and figures must be placed in the centre of the text. Table titles must be written above the table and figure titles must be written below the figure using 10 pt. If there is an explanation below the table, it must be in 8 punts. Borders must not be used in the tables. Figures (Coloured and black-and-white photographs, black-and-white illustrations, maps) must not be larger than 16x20 cm, the last submissions of pictures and photos must be in resolution of at least 1200 dpi.


12. Sources must be specified in the order of numbers in the text and in blue colour by using the square brackets.



For instance; [1], [2-5], [6, 7], [8-12]


13. Sources at the end of the article must be in 10 punts according to the order of numbers.

14. Representation of the resources at the end of the text:


Names of the books and magazines in the “References" section definitely must not be abbreviated.

   If the resource is a magazine;

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in Microsoft Word document file format.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
